Michael Cutlip : Why Not?

You won't want to miss this exhibition. Viewers have been excited by this installation of entirely new and original works. Michael Cutlip is a master of putting together disparate elements that range from tiny stamps and animal images to abstract swatches and drips in bright improbable colors and pulling them together in a way that is complex, resolved and entirely satisfying. These works are like the thrill of improvisational jazz masters, reaching for new notes and sequences and then pulling them back into the fabric of the piece. Included in the exhibition is an installation of 114 small paintings installed around the entire gallery space entitled "Let's Play". Collectors are encouraged to mix and match them together and join in the fun. In February, Michael Cutlip will be featured as the Artist to Watch in Southwest Art Magazine. He has had exhibitions in Chicago, Atlanta and was a favorite in Miami at the Flow Art Fair last year. He has become a recognizable figure in the contemporary art scene and a great addition to collections throughout the country.
